Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the mika-autizam.rs website, why we collect it, on what legal basis, and what rights you have. We process your data in line with Serbia's Personal Data Protection Act (Zakon o zaštiti podataka o ličnosti, published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia) — the ZZPL.

2. What data we collect

The website is informational in nature. We collect personal data only when you send it to us yourself:

Via the contact form: your name, email, phone number (optional), and the text of your message.
Technical data sent with your message: IP address and time of sending — for delivery and protection against misuse.

If you contact us directly (by email or phone), we process the data you provide on that occasion.

3. Purpose and legal basis

Purpose: to respond to your inquiry and, where needed, to arrange a counseling session.
Legal basis: your consent (which you give by checking the box in the form) and the steps we take at your request, in accordance with the ZZPL.

4. How long we keep data

We keep your data only as long as we need it to respond to your inquiry and handle any related correspondence — at most until that purpose is met or until you withdraw your consent. After that, we delete it.

5. Sharing and processors

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. The website is hosted by a hosting provider (Adria Host), which acts as a processor: it keeps the site running and delivers our email. We do not transfer data abroad for advertising. The one exception is the chat assistant described in section 6, where your messages are processed by an AI service provider.

6. Chat assistant "Mika Assistant" (artificial intelligence)

The website offers an optional chat assistant called "Mika Assistant". It is an AI assistant (not Katarina in person) that shares general information and helps you set up a free introductory conversation. It does not make diagnoses and does not give medical advice.

Message processing: the text you type is sent to the processor Anthropic PBC (the "Claude" service) to generate a reply. In doing so, data may also be processed outside the Republic of Serbia.
Legal basis: your consent, which you give by starting the conversation (following the prior notice shown in the chat window).
Storage: conversations are not stored on our website and are not used for advertising. The conversation history stays in your browser only while the window is open and disappears when you refresh the page. To remember that you have accepted the notice, we use localStorage in your browser (a technical function that holds no personal data).
Read aloud (optional): each assistant reply has an audio button. Only when you click it yourself is the text of that reply sent to a processor — the speech-synthesis service ElevenLabs — which turns it into speech (here, too, data may be processed outside the Republic of Serbia). Audio is generated only at your request, and nothing is stored — neither the text nor the resulting audio. If you never click the button, no text is sent to this service.
Please note: please don't enter sensitive information (for example, a child's health details or a national ID number — in Serbia, the JMBG). For personal matters, it's best to book a free introductory conversation.

7. Cookies and tracking technologies

This website does not use cookies for tracking, profiling, or marketing (there is no Google Analytics or similar tools). To measure visits we use Plausible Analytics — a cookie-less service that stores no personal data (see section 11).

Fonts are hosted locally on our server — there are no calls to Google or other external services, so your IP address is not shared with third parties when the site loads.
To remember that you have closed the privacy notice, localStorage is used in your browser (a technical, essential function — it is not a tracking cookie and contains no personal data).

Since we do not use tracking cookies, no cookie consent banner is needed.

8. Your rights

In accordance with the ZZPL, you have the right to:

access your data and receive information about its processing;
correct inaccurate data and complete incomplete data;
erase data (the "right to be forgotten");
restrict processing and object to processing;
data portability;
withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (Poverenik za informacije od javnog značaja i zaštitu podataka o ličnosti; Bulevar kralja Aleksandra 15, Belgrade; poverenik.rs).

9. Security

The website loads over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its date, is always available on this page.

11. Web analytics (Plausible Analytics)

To measure how this website is used, we use the privacy-friendly analytics service Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia – EU). Plausible works without cookies and stores no personal data: only aggregated statistics are collected (e.g. pages visited, approximate country of origin, device type, referral source). IP addresses are not stored, no user profiles are created, and individual visitors cannot be recognized across days. All data is processed exclusively on servers within the EU. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in analyzing the reach of this website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). As no cookies are set and no personal data is stored, no consent is required.
